The first pen mark establishes a direction, which is then followed and repeated across the paper. This process echoes his use of looping in music, where the initial sound shapes the unfolding structure. The movement of the pen is guided and constrained by a set of DIY tools, including modified rulers and custom stencils.<\/p>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_304\"
